In my last post I mentioned I would ask my doctor his honest opinion of Milk Thistle Seed Extract for liver treatment. I was hoping he would he would have a solid opinion one way or the other. What I ended up with was the expected, “There’s no medical reason to believe Milk Thistle helps liver disease“. I didn’t ask him for proof, I just wanted his opinion. After pressing a little he simply said he has read of people taking Milk Thistle Seed but had no first hand knowledge of the results, good or bad. He did say he thought it was safe enough and had no problem with me taking it if I thought it might help. Ok, fair enough. It wasn’t what I was hoping for but at least he didn’t insist I stop taking Milk Thistle.
